WALKING WITH FRIENDS
.
On the first day of our Walk to Jerusalem program, Lu Lane was ready to go walking with a friend. She knew walking was more fun when you're walking with a buddy, so she texted some church friends to come join her at Black Creek Nature Trail in Davison.

That wasn't very far from where Carol Warle is staying on her vacation from Mexico. Her sister-in-law lives next door to this beautiful nature spot.

The Black Creek Trail is one that begins at the Davison Muncipal Center and winds its way along a trail, leading into the Jack Abernathy Regional Park (138 acres).

Lu Lane says there are many
trails for walking there,  many  of  them are paved and some  are a level boardwalk. It is an  easy  walk for walkers, bikers  and young moms with strollers.  There are  also some sitting benches along the way when you want  to take a  rest.

Carol noticed some lovely wildflowers along the trail that wound  through a small woodland. The 2 walking friends also spied a  great  blue heron and a secluded  pond. They also made a new friend,  another woman who was also from Mexico. Carol found she had  many things in common with her and they had a fun chat.

Lu was happy to see there were many people on the trail--just like  she  was. Out for a fun Sunday  afternoon in God's creation. Maybe many of them were out there with a Walking Buddy too.
